Sacred Heart, Frinton on Sea

This neat little Catholic church at the north end of the high street was the work of William Hayne, the Frinton town architect. However, he didn't design it as a Catholic church, which would have been somewhat against his non-conformist sympathies. Rather, it was a public hall, later used as the local cinema before being converted into a Catholic church. It appears to be open every day. Simon Knott, September 2014
