From High Easter I was pointed at Chelmsford station, and I headed there, pausing briefly only for Mashbury church. Closed, being converted into a private house. A nice flint two-cell building looking mostly 14th Century with a wooden bell turret. it was sold as part of the estate - it sits at the entrance to Mashbury Hall.Simon Knott, April 2014
