I was here in May, but then the chancel was covered in scaffolding and the church was locked up. Now, it was open for business again. It is a wide, open, urban interior, pretty much devoid of atmosphere or thrill, but with some good details, including medieval glass and the surprise of a medieval portable altar with painted reredos figures crudely reminiscent of the Thornham Parva screen. The church is by no means as great as the sum of its parts, but I was glad it was open.
