1799: On 17th March, Elizabeth
was baptised as Elizabeth Anderson at St
Mary's church, Bourn, Cambridgeshire.1810: On
10th May, Elizabeth's parents William
Farrington and Hannah Anderson were
married at St Mary's church, Bourn,
Cambridgeshire. Elizabeth was eleven
years old.
1818: on
26th January Elizabeth married William
Huckell at St Mary's church, Bourn,
Cambridgeshire. Later in the year, their
first child Sarah was baptised in the
same church.
1821: Elizabeth
and William's daughter Jane was baptised
at St Mary's church, Bourn,
Cambridgeshire.
1824: On
22nd February, Elizabeth and William's
daughter Frances, my
great-great-grandmother, was baptised at
St Mary's church, Bourn, Cambridgeshire.
Between 1824 and
1831, the family moved from Bourn to
Comberton.
1831: Elizabeth
and William's son John was baptised at St
Mary's church, Comberton, Cambridgeshire.
He was buried in Comberton churchyard in
1833 at the age of 2.
1835: Elizabeth
and William's daughter Emma was baptised
at St Mary's church, Comberton,
Cambridgeshire.
1841 Census:
Elizabeth
was fifty-five years old at the time of
the 1841 census. The Huckel family were
living on Green Street,
Comberton, Cambridgeshire.
Her
husband William was not at home on census
night (we know he was a soldier). There
were three children living in the
household at the time of the 1841 census:
Jane was 20, Frances was 15 and William
(possibly Jane's son) was 2.
All
the household were born in
Cambridgeshire. The transcript for their

1842: Elizabeth's
daughter Frances married William Cornell
of Histon on the 4th July at St Andrew's
church, Histon, Cambridgeshire. The
register gives her surname as Huckle.
William is shown as being of full age and
his occupation is given as labourer.
Frances is shown as being under age (that
is to say, not yet 21). Her father
William is shown as a soldier.
1848: In September,
Elizabeth's husband William died, and was
buried in Comberton churchyard on 21st
September.
1851 Census:
Elizabeth
was sixty-five years old at the time of
the 1841 census. She was living in the
household of her son-in-law Richard
Marshall in Cambridge Lane,
Comberton, Cambridgeshire.
Richard
Marshall was a 37 year old agricultural
labourer. His wife Sarah, Elizabeth's
daughter, was 32. Elizabeth's
relationship to the head of the household
is shown as nurse (there were six
children aged 12 and under in the
household). She describes herself as
married rather than widowed, and her
status as a pauper. Her husband William
was not in the household on census night.
Elizabeth
was born in Bourn, Cambridgeshire, and
the rest of the household were born in
Comberton, Cambridgeshire.
