1801: Henry was born
in Toft, Cambridgeshire. He was baptised
at St Andrew's church on 6th September, the son of Thomas
and Sarah Annable.
1823: Henry married Elizabeth Constable
on 1st May at St Andrew and St Mary's church, Grantchester,
Cambridgeshire. A few months later, their first
son William was born. His baptism was recorded on
Christmas Day at the same church, when Henry was recorded
as a bricklayer and his origin as Toft.
1826: In March,
Henry's wife Elizabeth died. She was buried in
Grantchester churchyard on 30th March. She was 26 years
old.
1827: Henry married Mary Markham at St Peter and
St Paul's church, Dry Drayton. He was a widower, she was
a spinster. From this point onwards,Henry's children are
baptised at Dry Drayton, so the family had moved there.
1834: On 5th July, Henry is listed in the Cambridge
Independent Press as an insolvent debtor whose case
was to come before the court. He is recorded as a
bricklayer of Dry Drayton, formerly of Grantchester. However,
the Huntingdon, Bedford & Peterborough Gazette
reported on 2nd August that Henry had been discharged
from bankruptcy.
1841 census:
Henry was forty years old at the
time of the 1841 census. The Anable family were living at
Dry Drayton, Cambridgeshire.
Henry was a bricklayer. His wife
Mary was 35. There were seven children in the household
on the night of the census. William was 19, Henry was 13,
Sarah was 12, Samuel was 10, Thomas was 8, Francis was 2
and Mary was 3 months old. Also in the household was
Mary's mother Ann Markham, aged 65.

census: Henry was forty-nine years
old at the time of the 1851 census. The
Anable family were living at the
Cottages, Dry Drayton, Cambridgeshire.
Henry
is shown as a bricklayer.
His wife Mary was 47 years old.
Henry
had seven children at home at the time of
the 1851 census: Henry was 23, Samuel was
20, Thomas was 18, Francis was 11, Mary
was 10, George was 8 and Martha was 7.
Also living in the house at the time of
the census was Mary's mother Ann Markham,
77.
The
census records that Henry was born at Toft
in Cambridgeshire. His wife and children
were born in Dry Drayton, Cambridgeshire.

living in the house at the time of the
census was Mary's mother Ann Markham, 90.

census records that Henry was born at Toft
in Cambridgeshire. His wife and children
were born in Dry Drayton, Cambridgeshire.

1869:
at the end of May, Henry died. He was
buried in Dry Drayton churchyard on 1st
June, and his age was recorded as 68.
